FeatureChallenge needs admins!

 

Applications are open for all current members of FeatureChallenge, admins included and non-members as well (so basically for everyone). We need people who can devote some time and actively participate in the group administration for the following positions:

(:bulletblue: for free positions, :bulletgreen: when applied for but potentially allowing for more people, :bulletpurple: for filled)

 

:bulletblue: Frequent Featurer - responsible for the Member and Watcher Features - this would require the featurer/s to prepare a journal each week / every two weeks (depending on the number of people working on this) with five featurees, each one with 5-6 deviations featured (if available), e.g. 2-3 chosen by them (that will probably need to be discussed with said artists a couple of weeks earlier through notes) and the others chosen by the featurer/s.

-> It would be good if we have, say, two or three people working on this and taking turns.

 

:bulletgreen: Collaborative Features Supervisor - responsible for the CF journals - this would require the admin/s to write the journal for the Collaborative Features each month with different defining themes/mediums for deviations people can suggest. As you can see if you read the CF journals so far, the information about the "rules" and some categorizations are pretty similar with all of them, but have to be adjusted to fit the chosen theme/medium. Also, the featurers of the previous month are to be mentioned. Of course, the admin/s will also respond to people's suggestions and include them in the journal.

-> One person could probably do this job, but if more people are interested, they could take turns or work together.

 

:bulletgreen: Affiliates News Manager - responsible for communication with Affiliate Groups - this would require the admin/s to know about any events (e.g. contests) in Affiliate Groups our members could participate in and report them in the Affiliates News and Events journal (with status updates), as well as to notify Affiliates about any major events held in FeatureChallenge. The admin/s responsible would also be on the lookout for possible Affiliates and will update the Affiliates journal with short descriptions of our latest affiliates.

-> One person could probably do this job, but if more people are interested, they could work together.

 

:bulletblue: Feature Series Supervisor - responsible for tasks related to both currently hosted and potential Feature Series - this would require the admin to periodically ensure the wholeness of the hosted Feature Series in their respective folders, collecting any left out journals when needed, as well as finding new series for the group to host and arranging the details around that accordingly (communication with featurers, folder, journal submissions if needed, updates in the Feature Series journal).

-> One person should be enough for this position, at least for now.

 

:bulletgreen: Gallery and Favourites Supervisor - responsible for keeping order in the Group Gallery and Favourites and for submission reviewing - this would require the admin/s to ensure that all features are submitted to the folders that best fit them through careful submission reviewing and communication with submitters when re-submissions are needed. They can also give ideas for gallery reorganisations and folder management.

-> It would be good if we have one or two people working on this, with occasional aid from other admins in busy periods.

 

 

It would be great if we can build an active team of positive and responsible admins who can keep track of their tasks and the most important happenings in FeatureChallenge, help each other out when needed, participate in discussions of ideas and issues as well as brainstorming on events and ways to make the group better; and maybe sometimes work as Feedback Scouts too (as feedback can seem rather hard to get from time to time) so that members can also be more active and enjoy the group more.

Hi there! I am new to the group, BUT I have a photojournalism degree and I have worked for newspaper for a few years after college, this is kindda like what I did there :) Id like to apply for the Frequent Featurer position.

I can devote at least an hour a day to this, and 3 or more hours a few days a week. I spend most of my days on my computer working on my conceptual fine art post processing/blogging/writing my book/interacting with artists on DA and other forums.

I've been looking for a good group to help out in however, I limit my groups so that I can stay very active in each one. My most active group Im in is the DA wishing well right now, its the group that grants wishes for artists and gives out blessings to others, its really inspirational and Ive met a ton of awesome people there.
