Hello all! :)

I know it's been a while since the last journals and updates here in the group, unfortunately I'd been away for some time, but now I'm back and just in time for a somewhat special occasion - today, July 11th, is FeatureChallenge's first anniversary! Can you believe this group's already a year old? :dummy:

As I'm writing this entry we have 231 members and 261 watchers - amazing, right? I want to thank you all for joining in, participating, sharing your ideas and your features, as well as putting up with us at all. :D I know sometimes things have gotten in the way and there have been some difficulties and organisation problems from time to time, but we'll do our best to solve any such problems and make this group better and better, so thank you for giving us this chance.

I hope we can get things in the group flowing nicely again within the next couple of weeks. For that some reorganisation might be needed, as we could use a few more active admins so that tasks can be divided up to more people (after all, everyone has things to do). When we have a list of tasks for current and potential admins we can post it so you can know more if you're interested. Hopefully we can give you more details soon.

There should be a few more journals in the next days on organisation, news and events, announcements to come. Until then, I'd like to ask you again for your opinions on what we can do to make this group better (you could leave a comment on our FAQ, Issues & Help / Suggestions & Opinions journal), if you know of any regular feature series that aren't to be found through our gallery yet or of groups we could affiliate with, feel free to comment on the Affiliates and Feature Series journals; the All for You journal is open for comments too. :)

And there's one more question I've been meaning to ask you:
How much do you think you can learn about a deviant from the feature journals they've written?
If you'd like to try and find out, feel free to pick someone from the group member list and experiment. Remember, try to get an impression from just their feature journals first before you compare it to what you feel from their art! ;P

Anyway, feel free to leave a comment, watch out for more news, etc. and Thank You again! Have a great day and happy featuring! :aww:

:la: I'm glad you're back!

I myself haven't been that active these days since I'm pretty busy (I finally graduated) and I will be until the end of August ... then I'll hopefully be accepted to university and have more time again :)

About your question - when reading a feature journal I am usually more interested in the featuree(s) than the featurer. Though featurers most likely post things they personally like so one probably learns something about them, their preferences and maybe their deepest creepy inner secrets and fantasies :D ...
also how their journals are structured can tell something - e. g. I saw some with poems or stories which had other deviants' artwork in them as some sort of illustriation - very unique and individual :)

In conclusion you can probably learn a lot about featurers ;) sorry I write so much (it perfectly reflects the way I talk - too much)
